Industrial Wastewater Go Back

Nijhuis Saur Industries was founded 118 years ago in the Netherlands. The company's primary activity was repairing various equipment for the textile and dairy production industries. By 1977, Nijhuis operated in three main sectors: pumping systems, slaughterhouse industry equipment, and wastewater treatment. Over time, achievements in the wastewater treatment sector—reflected in numerous successfully executed projects, acquired technological know-how, and multiple patented technologies—led the company's management to focus entirely on this business line. Nijhuis was one of the first companies to introduce DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) and Lamella separators into the wastewater treatment process.

Since 2022, Nijhuis Saur Industries has been represented in Georgia by VORTEX Water Engineering.

Flocculators
Flocculators
These devices are used for the neutralization of emulsions, dispersions, and heavy metals in wastewater. The result is achieved through the addition of coagulants or precipitants to the water.
Flotation Systems
Flotation Systems
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems offer one of the most efficient and powerful methods for removing suspended solids, fats, oils, grease, phosphorus, or nutrients from industrial water.
Aerobic Treatment
Aerobic Treatment
The operation of these systems is based on a biological process that is controlled and managed under aerobic conditions. This process effectively reduces the chemical and biochemical oxygen demand, volatile suspended solids, carbon dioxide, and new biomass in the water.
Anaerobic Treatment
Anaerobic Treatment
Anaerobic treatment systems effectively reduce chemical and biochemical oxygen demand and volatile suspended solids in water. At the same time, the process generates biogas and very little biomass.
Water Recirculation
Water Recirculation
During the water recycling process, wastewater collected from various sources is treated and reused for different purposes. Instead of being discharged into rivers, the regional water cycle keeps the water within the area where it was originally used.
Resource Recovery
Resource Recovery
Digestate is a solid substance that remains after the anaerobic digestion of biodegradable material. Nijhuis has developed various methods to remove digestate from water, including converting it into biogas or biofuel.
